Speed is Earned

A nonprofit track & field club for Tallahassee youth ages 8–18. We develop athletes through discipline, technique, and exposure to the highest arenas of the sport.

Our Mission

Develop young people,
not just athletes.

Our mission is to develop young people through structured athletic training, physical education and measurable progress. We focus on building fundamental movement skills, athletic ability, discipline, confidence and a strong foundation for lifelong physical activity.

01

Discipline

We cultivate a culture that starts with mental preparation. Work ethic, sportsmanship, and character come before the stopwatch.

02

Fundamentals

We focus on the technical development of the athletes, teaching track fundamentals with an approach built around each athlete's needs.

03

Exposure

We provide athletes with opportunities to compete and advance to higher levels of track & field — from regional qualifiers and invitationals to collegiate recruitment.

The TSE Creed

Preparation is the edge

Talent shows up on meet day. Preparation shows up every practice before it — and that is the part we coach.

The Method

How we build athletes

We teach track fundamentals using an approach that caters to the specific needs of the athlete, so each one becomes confident in their development.

01

Assess

We start with the athlete in front of us — event fit, movement quality, and an honest baseline to build from.

02

Develop

Technical work first. Mechanics are drilled and refined until the movement holds up at race speed.

03

Compete

Athletes are entered into district, regional, and invitational meets to test the work against real fields.

04

Progress

We track measurable progress so athletes can see how their development translates into performance.

Proof

From the track

I personally think that your coaching is an important source for the sport. If you’re willing to work, listen, and you’re actually willing to try new things you will see even greater results with the coaching. I had a great experience. During the times when I didn’t want to, having him as my coach gave me an extra push because I knew it was worth it. His coaching helped me to make first team all big bend for track.
